Adventure in Southern Africa

August 1, 2026

This trip is a journey through Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia, experiencing natural wonders, wildlife, and cultural traditions. In Zimbabwe, travelers will see Victoria Falls, a waterfall on the Zambezi River and one of the world's seven natural wonders. They will have the opportunity to go whitewater rafting, bungee jump, or take a helicopter ride to see it from above. Next, travelers will cross into Botswana to the town of Kasane and have the chance to go on a wildlife safari along the Chobe River in Chobe National Park. By taking safari walks, staying in the bush, and seeing the Okavango Delta from above on an optional flight, travelers will experience the country's biodiversity and ecosystems. Heading towards the Kalahari Desert and the Namibian border, travelers will meet local San Bushmen, known for their distinct cultural traditions, and make an impact in the community by staying at a lodge that supports local families. Finally, in Windhoek, Namibia, they will get a chance to learn about Namibian history and culture.

This is a 8-day trip that costs $1,239. It is an 18-Thirtysomethings trip catering to travelers ages 18-39. The trip is led by G Adventures, a sustainable, small group tour company that has been leading travelers for 35+ years. They have been pioneers in community tourism and their trips directly benefit the local communities they visit. They have a responsible travel effort called G For Good and partner with the nonprofit Planeterra, dedicated to ensuring communities touched by tourism benefit from it. They were rated one of CATALYST PLANET’s  8 Best Sustainable Travel Companies.
