Iceland offers some of the most spectacular and diverse trekking experiences in the world, characterized by its unique geological features and dramatic landscapes. Trekkers can explore a range of environments including geothermal areas, volcanic landscapes, glaciers, lava fields, fjords, and lush valleys. Iceland’s geothermal activity provides unique trekking experiences, such as hiking through areas with hot springs, geysers, and steam vents. Depending on the season, trekkers can experience the midnight sun in summer or the northern lights in winter, adding a magical element to their adventures. Travelers will start their journey in the capital of Reykjavik, where they will have time to explore after breakfast. Settle in camps on the second day. Continue through breathtaking, colorful scenery: white glaciers, black sand, orange canyons, and green mountains. Make way toward Þórsmörk: the Valley of Thor! Cruise through lava fields over the glacier in the distance. Take the bridge over a running river and see the glacial tongue through the canyon. Afterward, the group will explore an Icelandic Forest. Spend free time in Thor’s valley on the fifth day. There are plenty of short trails around Þórsmörk to explore. Onward to the Fimmvörðuháls Trail, where everyone will visit the Eyjafjallajökull and Myrdalsjökull volcanoes. Head back to Reykjavik on the final day. Depart.
This 7-day and 6-night experience starts at $3,095 per person and includes accommodation, meals, all camping fees, and luggage transport for 5 days.
