Women Walking Streets of Ireland

Explore Ireland

July 23, 2024

Ireland, the Land of Saints and Scholars, is home to more than 30,000 castles, stunning landscapes, and more than 7000 pubs. Dublin, Ireland’s capital,  alone has 772. The capital is a UNESCO city of literature, home to many acclaimed literary pioneers, including Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, Samuel Beckett, and Sally Rooney. Cork, the Rebel County, is home to famous landmarks like the Blarney Castle and a city brimming with cobblestone roads and colorful homes. Travelers will begin their journey in Dublin, where they will explore Trinity College, view the Book of Kells, see the medieval quarter, and visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Travelers will then visit Cork and have a chance to see Spike Island and its monastic fortress. Later, the group will get the chance to get moving through traditional Irish sports, including Gaelic football, hurling, and handball. They will get to see the Blarney Castle on the way to Killarney, known for its natural beauty and national park. On the Ring of Kerry, visitors can see a variety of landscapes, from rugged cliffs and shining beaches to mountain ranges and peat bogs. The journey finds its end in Limerick, a populous region known for its lace-making and medieval history. Here, the group will visit Inis Oirr, the easternmost of the Aran Islands, full of old ruins and beautiful landscapes.

This is a 9-day trip and costs $3,649. This trip is led by the sustainable travel company G Adventures. All G Adventures trips are led by a local guide, a CEO, Chief Experience Officer, and trip revenue is driven to help the local community.
